The main structural differences between high-voltage and low-voltage motors

1、 The insulation material of the coil is different. For low-voltage motors, the coils are mainly made of enameled wire or other simple insulation materials, such as composite paper. The insulation of high-voltage motors usually adopts a multi-layer structure, such as cloud bus strip, which has a complex structure and high voltage resistance.

2、 The heat dissipation structure is different. Low voltage motors mainly use coaxial fans for direct cooling, while high voltage motors often have independent heat sinks. There are usually two types of fans, one is an internal circulation fan and the other is an external circulation fan. Two sets of fans operate simultaneously, exchanging heat with the radiator to remove the heat from the motor.

3、 Different load-bearing structures. Low voltage motors usually have one set of bearings before and after, while high voltage motors usually have two sets of bearings at the shaft extension end due to their heavy load. The number of bearings at the non shaft extension end depends on the load situation, while sliding bearings are used for particularly large motors.
